Iwelumo Fit To Start

Chris Iwelumo looks certain to start up front against Birmingham City with strike partner Jamie Curteton.

Iwelumo has been given the go ahead by new boss Geriant Williams after recovering from injury.

Iwelumo declared himself fit for Saturdays opening away encounter at St Andrews, the 6ft 4 inch striker underwent a hernia operation in the summer and has also shaken off a pre-season knee injury.

This is good news for Williams as the pair managed no less than 16 Goals in 10 games last season, in Curetons 3 month loan spell at Layer Road.

Youngster Jamie Guy will travel and may get a place on the bench as the U`s other striker Marino Keith remains sidelined with an ankle injury.
