Player Ratings

Aidan Davidson - 6

Couldn`t do nothing with Summerfields winning Goal, wasn`t worried most of the game.

George Elokobi - 6

Not as assured as Saturday and passing a little wayward, however not out of place.

Wayne Brown - 8

Vital Colchester Star Man stood up well to Hayles and Wotton gave them little space to create openings.

Pat Baldwin - 5

Not a vintage display from Pat, mistake lead to Goal.

Greg Halford - 6

Does the ugly things well, crowd expect so much from him, nearly made the break through.

Karl Duguid - 6

Not quite Mark Yeates driving at defenses`, however assured display on the left was unlucky to see his lob cleared from the line.

Johnnie Jackson - 5

Seemed to fade in out of the game, unlucky not to score, disappeared as soon as we bought the big man on.

Kevin Watson - 6

Watto would have been my MOTM if given the chance in the second half to shine, must however have sore neck spending 30 mins watching ball go over his head. We must use him and Jackson to our advantage.

Kem Izzet - 6

Runs Runs and Runs, however failed to make a mark on the game improved over last year though

Richard Garcia - 6

Excellent first half, hitting wood work and being a nuisance to Plymouth, disappeared after moving into Midfield to accommodate Iwelumo.

Jamie Cureton - 7

Needs confidence in front of goal, never gave up the ghost a constant annoyance to defending full backs.

Subs:-

Chris Iwelumo - 5 (for Izzet)

Although not his fault, balls should be played to his feet and not just his head. Played into the hands of the Pilgrims defence with constant long balls to him, too predictable.

Garry Richards - 6 (for Baldwin)

Looked assured when he came on may replace Baldwin in the middle on Saturday.

Referee:

Mr. R J Booth - 7

Tried hard to use the advantage, failing sometimes and frustrating both teams, kept game flowing where he could.
