No long-term thinking
Magnus Okuonghae, as he told The East Anglian Times, is in no hurry to sort out his long-term future.
The Colchester defender is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with a move to a championship outfit, no talks about a new contract with The U's have taken place either.
At the moment just playing football is his priority: 'I'm not really thinking about my long-term future at the moment.
'I've not thought about it and I haven't heard anything from the club, in terms of contracts or anything like that.
'So I will keep playing my football, and when it comes to that conversation, that may happen, I will take it in my stride and deal with it in time.
'Football is a strange game, but I haven't spoken to anyone at the minute and no one has mentioned it at all. We will see.'
It does not seem that likely that Okuonghae will sign a new contract with Colchester so if an acceptable offer comes in for the defender during the January transfer window The U's may well think that it is the right time to cash in, rather than lose him on a free in the summer.
