'If It's Football, It's Vital'

We'll talk in..., well now!

Kemal Izzet had said, talking to The U's, that he would talk to Colchester more about his future in February, and February is where we are now.

31-year-old Izzet is keen to extend his stay with The U's with his contract expiring at the end of the season: 'I'm contracted until the end of the season, I'd love to have another contract here but we're not talking at the moment.

'We'll talk in February, see what comes in and what goes out, and then come February we'll sit down and have a chat and hopefully get something sorted.'

Izzet has spent more than a decade with the club so it's easy to see why he wants to remain with Colchester.
