Rewarded for progress
The progress that first year scholar Alex Gilbey has seen him rewarded with his first professional contract at Colchester.
Despite only being a year into a two-year scholarship such has been the progress made that the youth team captain has signed a two-½-year contract with The U's.
Gilbey has been with the club from U13 level through to his current status and is Colchester born and bred.
