Ward: I have no qualms about the result
John Ward admits that Walsall beat his Colchester side on Tuesday night because they were the better side.
The U's manager has no problems with his opponents 3-1 win as he feels that they were worthy of it: 'the best team has won the game and I have no qualms about the result.
'We played some good football in the first 25 minutes and scored a very good goal, but we needed a second while we were in the ascendancy.
'Then Walsall equalised with a fantastic free-kick which lifted them right up and they played very well after that.'
The defeat, Colchester's first in 10 games, probably ends any hopes that they might have had of squeezing into the play-offs.
