Massey exits U's for early Watford return
Colchester have agreed to Watford's request to have Gavin Massey back from his loan spell a game early.
The strikers loan was scheduled to end at the weekend but following Watford's request John Ward, as he told The Gazette, has agreed to let him return to Vicarage Road early so his parent club can take a closer look at him: 'I got a phone call from Sean Dyche asking if they could recall him and we've let him go back a game early.
'I hope he gets an opportunity there because that's what he wants to do.'
Massey featured in eight games for The U's.
