Result - Colchester 4-2 Tranmere

Colchester ended an interesting season, at home anyway, with a win over Tranmere on Saturday afternoon.

Ian Henderson (4) got Colchester off to a flying start, with that goal enough to take The U's into a half time lead with Tom Eastman (46) doubling this immediately after the restart.

James Wallace (52) pulled one back for Tranmere but an own goal from veteran Ian Goodison (66) opened up a two-goal advantage for Colchester again. Once more though the visitors fought back and a Jake Cassidy (72) goal reduced the deficit again.

A 4-2 victory for The U's was confirmed when on loan West Ham man Freddie Sears (84) struck late on.
