Duguid Rallies Troops

U's Skipper Karl Duguid insisted that the lads will stick together, and that team spirit was still strong despite the poor start to the season.

After last nights defeat to league 2 club MK Dons in the Carling Cup, Duguid said,'Team spirit is still strong, it has to be that way, whether you are going through a bad patch or a very good spell. It was team spirit that got us promoted and so we have to keep that going.

'to be honest, the lads are positive because of the performances we have put in. If our performances were terrible, we would be more down about our prospects'

The U's captain issued a rallying call to the fans ahead of this weeks Championship League game at home to Derby County saying,'We know as a group that we will stay together and we need the fans with us aswell, we are as frustrated as the fans are, but we can not let it boil over into doing the silly things'

Adding,'We have got to stick together as a group and the more poeple are behind us, the easier it is on the pitch, we know the fans are frustrated and we share that feeling, but we have to concentrate on winning these games'
