Okuonghae could stay with U's

Apparent interest in Magnus Okuonghae remains, and whilst the likelihood is that the Colchester captain will move on, but its not impossible that he isn't going to stay with the club.

The defender met with John Ward this week to discuss his future with him again stressing his desire to play football in the championship, as yet nothing has been agreed with another club though.

Okuonghae has also made it clear to Ward that he doesn't want to play for another league one side so if he doesn't find the championship one he is aiming for he will remain at The WCHS.

You can understand, and appreciate, his stance but The U's cannot wait around forever for him to decide and some mutually agreed timescale should soon be put on a decision, although you would expect him to leave really wouldn't you?
