'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Sears becomes available

Freddie Sears, who spent some time on loan with Colchester last season, has been released by his parent club West Ham.

The striker leaves The Hammers having mutually agreed to terminate his contract to move onto pastures new.

John Ward admits that he wants to 'talk' with the 21-year-old about a potential permanent move to The WHCS.

Rumour has it that he was very well paid at West Ham and this was in part why he was released, as he would not have played a part to earn this money. With that in mind you would think it unlikely that The U's could afford his wages?
