Colchester secure Sears on three-year deal

John Ward said that he wanted to sign Freddie Sears following his release by West Ham and his wish has been granted!

To the surprise of some perhaps, and I must admit my own, the 22-year-old has signed a three-year contract with The U's.

Sears hasn't really fulfilled his early promise but if he can hit the ground running this season it will put him back on the right track with him still having plenty of years ahead of him.
