Former U Williams joins Hibs
Ben Williams left Colchester at the end of his contract to go in search of Championship football.
Technically the 29-year-old hasn't managed this although he will actually be playing top-flight football, just not in this country as he has joined Scottish Premier League outfit Hibernian on a two-year contract.
Best of luck to him, it's just a shame that his expressed desire to want to stay with The U's wasn't followed through with...
