Richard Wright? Not to U's
Richard Wright to sign for Colchester? Not according to John Ward so that stops that rumour dead in its tracks.
Reports had been circulating that the former England international keeper was going to sign for The U's having ended his contract with Preston, following his release by Ipswich, after just a week!
Colchester manager Ward has told the local papers that he has no interest in Wright and Mark Cousins and Carl Pentney will be battling to the no.1 shirt this season following Ben Williams' decision to move on.
