Morrison signs for Colchester

The persistent pursuit of Clinton Morrison by Colchester has finally paid off with the striker signing for the club.

John Ward has tracked the 33-year-old for well over a year and has now finally managed to land him, bringing the striker to The WHCS on a two-year contract following his release by Sheffield Wednesday after their promotion to the Championship.

Morrison, who has seen money above £6m paid for him during his career, still has some football left in him and if he can get anywhere near to the best form that won him international honours with the Republic of Ireland and feature plenty of times in the Premier League The U's will benefit!
