Beaten but not Hammered

Beaten but not Hammered

Premier league outfit West Ham proved too strong for Colchester on Saturday, when The Hammers went away from The WHCS with a 2-1 win.

All the goals came in the first half, with an Anthony Wordsworth strike before the break just a consolation to earlier goals from Nicky Maynard and Mark Noble.

Results are not the main aim of pre-season, so this defeat will mean little come the start of the season next month and the positives from this are what will be taken!
