JPT bye for Colchester

JPT bye for Colchester

Colchester have been given a bye in the first round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy southern section.

As a result The U's participation in this seasons event will not start until round two.

Having a free midweek will not only be a bonus as far as this competition goes, as it means they are a game closer to winning it without having to play, but also means they will be a little fresher in the opening weeks of the season than others.

That said perhaps others could benefit from another game to build up fitness?
