'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Due a bit of luck!

If anybody deserves "a bit of luck" then you would have to say that John-Joe O'Toole does.

Injuries have been cruel to the midfielder in the past couple of years but with a new contract under his belt and some pre-season to boot the 23-year-old, as he told The East Anglian Daily Times, it looking for some luck!

Not only luck but more games as he looks to kick on: 'I just want to stay fit. I think that I'm due a bit of good luck!

'It's been a disappointing last couple of seasons for me. I haven't really played half as much as I would have liked.

'But I've felt pretty sharp in pre-season, although I could probably do with a full 90 minutes. I haven't had what I'd call a proper full 90 minutes. The only one I've had was against a non-league team. I'd like a full 90 against someone more competitive.'

Everyone will hope that O'Toole does have better luck with injuries, and he does deserve this luck, the problem is you so often see that once injury problems kick-in they usually carry on and on...

The midfielder still has plenty of years ahead of him though, he says he wants to play on until he is 38, and if he can stay injury free and play to the best of his ability then a number of these could well be with The U's!
