Colchester end preparations with narrow win

Colchester ended their pre-season preparations with a narrow win over Bishop's Stoftford.

Chances were had either side of Drey Wright's first half strike, which was a good one, but none of the other ones could be taken so The U's had to be content with a 1-0 win over the non-league outfit.

The official website will be the place to visit for a full report - click here.

Ending pre-season with a win, albeit a narrow one, is a confidence boost going into Tuesday's Capital One Cup tie with Yeovil.

John Ward will know, with all due respect, that Yeovil will be a tougher test than Stoftford so improvement will be needed.
