U's leave Preston with a point

Result: Preston 0-0 Colchester

Kicking-off the season with a point at Preston wouldn't have been bad, so to see Colchester manage this means the 2012/13 season didn't start badly.

The sides played out a goalless first half, so it was "as you were" after 45-minutes.

In fact the game ended as it started, with a 0-0 draw...
