'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Home comforts

John Ward has pointed to Colchester's fine home record, following another unbeaten game at the weekend.

The U's battled back to earn a point against Sheffield United and Ward wants this wonderful home record to keep growing: 'We have a fantastic home record here and the new signings have bought into that and wanted to protect it and they'll do everything they can.

'We've only had 11 defeats at home in three years and I think that adds up to over 70 matches.'

To have such a record, in particular at such a level of football where quite literally anyone can beat anyone else on any given day, is very impressive.

All will be hoping The Weston Homes Community Stadium can continue to be the fortress that it is for Colchester.
