Arsenal's Watt and Eastmond arrive

As had been reported Colchester have indeed brought in Craig Eastmond from Arsenal, along with his Gunners teammate Sanchez Watt.

The Arsenal men have signed three-month loan deals with The U's to boost new manager Joe Dunne's midfield (Eastmond) and attacking (Watt) options.

On the loan arrival, as he told the official website, Eastmond said: 'The first thing I heard about the move was through my agent and he said Colchester United were one of a few clubs interested. I just want to play games so I said yes to it and I'm looking forward to the new challenge.'

Watt, also on the official website, said: 'It felt good to be training here and the lads made me feel relaxed and welcome. It looks like the manager plays the same formation as I'm used to so it should be good for me.

'I want to fight for my position in the team, keep my place if I get it and do well for the club and for myself. Hopefully, we can play well, pass the ball around, score some goals and push up the table.'

Both might only be 21-years-old but they bring a decent amount of experience with them having both played for the Arsenal first-team on more than one occasion, with the quality they bring with them being of most benefit to The U's, all being well!
