Potts Returns To West Ham

18-year-old left back Dan Potts has been recalled by West Ham as he brings his short stint at the Weston Homes Community Stadium to a close.

The full-back appeared five times for the U's and failed to really impress, having dislodged Michael Rose from the starting eleven who has been in good from throughout the current campaign.

Potts made his U's debut immediately upon signing, being thrown straight into the starting eleven for the 5-1 thrashing away at MK Dons towards the end of November.

He made another four starts for Joe Dunne's side, only missing out at Walsall where he remained an unused substitute.

It may be argued that the U's need a more experienced head for the relegation fight that lays ahead, with Potts' inexperience possibly countering his technical ability in this instance.
