'If It's Football, It's Vital'

U's Add Chelsea Youngster

U's boss Joe Dunne has continued his January dealings this lunchtime by adding Chelsea youngster, Billy Clifford, to his squad on a one-month loan deal ahead of tomorrow afternoon's big game with Scunthorpe.

Clifford, a 20-year-old attacking midfielder, has appeared in some of Chelsea's Champion's League squads already and has been with Chelsea for thirteen years now.

In the 2009/10 season he was a key member of the Chelsea side that lifted the FA Youth Cup and, in July 2011, he went on tour with Andre Villas-Boas' senior squad.

This is the first spell Clifford has spent away from Stamford Bridge and he will undoubtedly be eager to impress.

'He is an exciting youngster with plenty of ability that we will benefit from in the coming weeks,' Dunne told the club's official website.

'I'm really glad that we have secured his services and I'm sure that he will add to the quality we already have in the squad.'
