Woody Due For Town Medical

Meanwhile, the ongoing transfer saga surrounding Anthony Wordsworth looks set to be finalised either later today or tomorrow, with the midfielder set to switch to Ipswich Town in a deal believed to be for around 100,000.

Reports suggest that the cultured ball-player who is currently on 199 appearances for the U's is set to have a medical at Portman Road later on today, which would finalise any move ahead of Thursday's transfer deadline.

Wordsworth completed a two-game suspension last Saturday and rumours suggested that any interested parties were waiting for that suspension to be over.

Joe Dunne suggested last week that, should the move not transpire during this week Woody would simply move for free in the summer regardless, so it is certainly better to cash in some money to boost the club's finances in the process.

Woody would be free to make his Town debut on Saturday when they host Middlesbrough.
