Garmston Bounces In From Baggies

Joe Dunne has drafted in some temporary cover for John White at left-back in the shape of Republic of Ireland U19s international, Bradley Garmston, from West Brom.

Garmston, a 19-year-old, is yet to break into the Baggies' senior side but has impressed in their U21s fixtures and joins after two weeks' of speculation over who the impending loan arrival would be.

One would hope that Garmston is merely cover for John White who continues to put in steady performances in the position, rather than when Michael Rose was dropped immediately for Dan Potts, despite not doing anything particularly wrong.

Garmston has been with the Baggies for almost six years now, and his main attribute appears to be pace. Speaking to the EADT, Garmston admitted that he wasn't expecting the move.

He said: 'The move has come about as a bit of a surprise to me, but it is brilliant that the gaffer has shown his belief in me.'

The loan move is initially for one-month, whilst former left-back Michael Rose has signed non-contract terms at League Two side Rochdale following his departure from the U's.
