Wilson: 'Make Bramall Lane Fearsome'

Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson has said that the U's confidence will present a test for his Blades side, with Joe Dunne's squad travelling to Bramall Lane off the back of three wins in four.

The Blades themselves have won back-to-back games away at Shrewsbury and Bury, respectively, and will be looking to get back to winning ways at home when the U's face the Yorkshire side tomorrow afternoon.

Wilson accepts that the U's won't be a pushover, but believes his side just need to play with the freedom that they are once again starting to display.

'Colchester are fighting for their lives,' he told the club's official website. 'They've had some good results in recent weeks though and so they'll come on a high and confident that they can keep themselves away from those bottom four.

'Of course they pose a test, but we're also a big test and we must test ourselves against a team who will be organised, rigid and defensively-minded.

'We must play with the freedom that we've done for the last couple of games; let's have a go and make Bramall Lane a really fearsome place to come.'

A recent spell of two points from five games saw the Blades fall from top of the league to clinging on to a play-off place, but those two wins mentioned above have seen the side restore an element of form heading into the weekend.

The astounding form of Yeovil means that they're still just holding on in the top six, but with Tranmere and Doncaster showing signs of faltering and Swindon dropping points to Hartlepool last week, Wilson believes the pressure will start to take its toll.

'This is the important part of the season now where the pressure cranks up, and it's been felt by one or two in the top areas where it's all about staying there.

'We've handled that pressure for a while now and we're accustomed to it, but we'll see how other teams handle it.'
