Clinton Morrison's winner for the U's on Saturday was his 150th career league goal, and it couldn't have come at a more important time in the U's season.
The experienced front-man had only netted once previously for the U's - and even then it was a dubious touch he got on the ball! - in the 1-1 draw with Sheffield United back in August, and the ex-Premier League striker was clearly delighted.
Morrison has played a crucial role in leading the front line for the U's in the recent absence of the suspended Jabo Ibehre, and Morrison told the East Anglian Daily Times that he believes there is more to come.
He said: 'I kept thinking, game after game, when is the goal going to come? But I'm usually a striker who goes on a bit of a burst, so hopefully I can do that now until the end of the season.
"That's all I needed and I know I can still score goals, I've done it for years."
U's fans will certainly be hoping that Morrison can fire the goals that push the U's to safety, alongside the returning Ibehre and Freddie Sears, who is expected to be fit for the visit of MK Dons this weekend.
Morrison recently told the BBC that he felt this had been his worst season in football, but admitted he was determined to make the most of the remaining games this campaign.
'It's probably been the worst season I've had in my career,' he reflected. 'I don't think I've been anywhere near what I've been capable of this season.'
Here's hoping then that Saturday's goal is the boost needed for Morrison to push on in front of goal, and reflect the performances and admirable work-rate the 33-year-old has been putting in for the side.
