U's Fans Proven Right

U's Fans Proven Right

In our last poll, 72% of you kept the faith with the U's and were proven right in your predictions that Joe Dunne's men would steer clear of the drop and achieve League One survival.

The 2-0 win at Carlisle on the last day meant Scunthorpe's win over Swindon was in vain, and the U's avoided the Football League's bottom tier where they haven't played for fifteen years now.

Only 28% of you were left eating your words having predicted that relegation loomed, and now we look towards the summer months in our newest poll for you.

With the summer looking set for an overhaul on the U's squad with the host of loanees departing in Sam Walker, George Porter, Bradley Garmston, Billy Clifford and Michael Smith, Joe Dunne will need to be busy in the summer months.

Mark Cousins and John White have both been offered new deals, whilst central defender Matt Heath was revealed yesterday to be on his way out of the club.

But as the transfer speculation prepares to get going, which areas of the side do you think is most important for strengthening?

Will it be in goal where, despite Cousins being offered a new deal and Shaun Phillips showing promise, the return of Sam Walker may leave a vacancy? Will Walker return on a season-long loan deal as has been mooted?

Will it be in the defence, where Dunne has repeatedly tried to bring in left-backs, or has John White shown enough to make himself a first choice in your eyes?

Are the U's set to miss the flair of Billy Clifford in the middle and need to bring in someone else for the creativity?

Let us know your thoughts by voting in our poll down the right hand side!
