Williams Looking to Strengthen
Colchester Manager Geriant Williams is working hard to strengthen his side, and that includes keeping the players he has. However with the transfer window opening in January and with interest already expressed by some Premiership clubs for Greg Halford he looks to have a fight on his hands.
'Now it's a period where other teams may be looking at our players,' said Williams.
'That's something we have now got to recognise and deal with. Our staff are all out at games trying to identify players who can help improve our own squad, but they've got to be the right characters as well.
'We've got to be realistic. When the transfer window opens we can't go out and spend a million pounds on players - but other clubs will be looking at ours.'
