This one was billed as the division's meanest defence against the best attack, something had to give, and give it did.

With just 1 min 17secs on the clock Jamie Cureton hit a thunderous shot which squeezed into the top Right hand corner of the Stoke Goal, giving Colchester the lead against a defence that had not conceeded for over 11 hours prior to this game.

Cureton added another some 15 mins later and with Garcia heading home from a Barker cross in the second half.

9 consecutive wins at home, have propelled Colchester into 6th place whilst leap frogging over todays visitors.
