Colchester 1 v 0 PNE

Colchester defender Gary Richards scored his first ever League Goal after coming on as a substitute.

Richards replaced the on loan Mills in the second half and scored after a mistake from the visiting Goalkeeper carrying the ball over the goal line, Colchester scored from the resulting corner.

The goal and the win was just reward for a Colchester side who went searching for goals from the first whistle to the last, securing their first win in 2007 and denting Preston's promotion hopes.
