U`s Home Point

Colchester United were held to a 1-1 draw by Birmingham City at Layer Road last weekend. Kem Izzet put the U's ahead in the 55th minute - to cap a superb week for the midfielder - but Stephen Clemence equalised 11 minutes later.

A point satisfied both camps, with City leaving flair players Nicklas Bendtner and Sebastian Larrson on the benchin the hope of ending Colchester`s unbeaten run at home, now spanning an immense 14 matches.

Reading's recond signing, Greg Halford, a reported £2.5 capture from Colchester, was also in the stands to bid his former club goodbye as he moves on to the Premiership.
