Murray In Team Of The Week (10/10/17)

Murray In Team Of The Week (10/10/17)

Colchester United are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Sean Murray in the two nil victory over Mansfield Town at the weekend at the Colchester Community Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Murray was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Colchester made it back-to-back wins with a 2-0 win against Mansfield Town, and Murray proved key in the success. After being laid off from a free-kick, the midfielder placed his effort in the bottom corner, and he turned provider five minutes later, delivering for Mickael Mandron to put the game out of reach.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Murray for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Dave Richards (Crewe Alexandra), Dan Potts (Luton Town), Dan Burn (Wigan Athletic), Richard Wood (Rotherham United), Pierce Sweeney (Exeter City), Ebere Eze (Wycombe Wanderers), Jake Reeves (Bradford City), Sean Murray (Colchester United), Ben Whiteman (Doncaster Rovers), James Henry (Oxford United), Ellis Harrison (Bristol Rovers).

Manager - Darrell Clarke (Bristol Rovers).
