'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Alistair Campbell Visited Drome!

Staunch Burnley fan Alistair Campbell visted Colchester United's Layer Road last weekend, following his beloved Burnley side in what turned out to be a zero-zero affair.

He was in the away end - which was by no means full - and told the local Evening Gazette after the game: 'I did not think Colchester had much quality, and if I had seem them play like that earlier in the season, I would have thought they were relegation candidates.'

The former goverment minister, 49, went on to say that United were 'defying gravity' in terms of thier current league position, adding: 'If Burnley can't go up I think it would be great if a small club like Colchester were promoted - it would not be bad for the Premiership.'
