Harford Hopes For Derby Double

Colchester United's assistant manager Mick Harford told the local media yesterday that he is confident that his players can make a dent in Derby County's promotion hopes when the U's go to Pride Park on Friday.

The game, in front of the Sky camneras, comes as both sides are without a win in thier last three Coca-Cola Championship matches.

Mick told the Evening Gazette: 'Derby was our first victory of the season (at home) and that's something we've already reminded the players of.'

'Pride park is always a tough place to go and they're a good home team.

'Statistics show that we've not great away from home. Our last away perfomance was our worst of the season but we will go to Derby with the right attitude.'

Harford played for County just under 100 times during the early 1990s, alongside manager Geriant Williams.

Fagan - we also would like him, if the chance came up. He scored some great goals fpr us, and I don' think his attitude - as reported in the press after his depature from Hull - was ever an issue.
