Terrace Evacuation: Fans Praised

Vital Colchester is pleased to report, after fears to the contrary, that the season ticket-holder who collapsed in Terrace 4 on the final day of the 2006/7 season has returned home to his family.

The terrace, containing several hunderd people, was evaucated onto the pitch after the fan fell and needed ambulence attention; he had complained of feeling ill earlier in the day.

As Colchester United saftey officer, Gary Tuckwell, told the club's official website: "I would like to thank the fans for the way they followed instructions during the evacuation procedure."
