Colchester`s Watson Calls: Join Us!

Colchester United`s central midfielder Kevin Watson has called upon any player offered the chance to sign for the U`s this summer to take it.

Watson, who signed a new contract three weeks ago, is keen for Colchester to get more new recruits on board in the wake of many departures throughout the summer.

He told the club's official website: 'I think we are a more attractive proposition now as a result of how well we did last season but when players come to the club they have got to look further than the ground we have got at the moment.

'The boys are fantastic here, the management and staff are excellent - you could not want to play under a better management team.

'So if anyone is looking to come in this summer I would tell them to go for it, they could do a lot worse than join us.'

These are great to hear after what Barker, Iwelumo and Cureton have said. I know Watson is in a slightly different boat to the rest of the sqaud, being well over 30 and all, but it makes you wonder if the rest of the team were playing the same season last term!
