'If It's Football, It's Vital'

25% More Season Tickets Sold!

"For all that has gone on this summer, we have actually only lost one player (Chris Iwelumo) from last season," said Colchester United Chief Executive Marie Partner today after announcing a 25% rise in season ticket sales on the same time as last year.

"Chris (Barker) was on loan and was never our player.

"Richard (Garcia) is out of contract but we have left him alone so that he can consider his future," added Partner. speaking in the East Anglian Daily Times.

She explained: "Season ticket sales have been going very well, and they have just pitched over 4,000," enthused Mrs Partner.

"That represents a 25% increase on last year, showing that people are very positive for the new season ahead.

"There remains a lot going on behind the scenes, in terms with getting in new players."
