Colchester have been boosted by the news that left back George Elokobi has returned to training.
The player has been out for two weeks after contracting mumps, but after plenty of rest the young player returned to training on Monday.
'George is back with the lads after his time away from the club,' physio Stuart Ayles told the official site. 'He did the morning session but was rested in the afternoon and we will begin to build him up towards full fitness in the coming days.'
Further good news arrives in the announcement that Richard Garcia is returning to the team after attending a family funeral last week.
