Who Needs Cureton We Have Sheringham

Teddy Sheringham became Colchester United's 3rd signing of the summer replacing the departed Jamie Cureton filling the Vacant No.8 Shirt in the process.

Indeed with Colchester No.8's in the news today with the sad loss of Dave Simmons, and with the recent departure of Jamie Cureton, it is fitting that ex England International Sheringham was to sign as a Player.

There will be no direct coaching role and he will not become Assistant to Geriant Williams.

Full Story to follow.

well done colchester, fantastic signing. coming from colchester myself i must admit i am thrilled to see an ex-united legend join my local team. Colchester have finally started to seem like a proper championship club, and wiyth three quality buys in the last 3 days (however, im ust admit i do not know alot about platt) i can see colchester firmly cement themselves as a championship club, and then..........who knowa!!!! Good luck Teddy and the team for what is sure to be another great season
