Col United: Six in and Counting…

Following six signings and a declaration by manager Geraint Williams this week that he wants competition for places at the club, Colchester United have today confirmed that further additions will be made to the squad before the big kick-off next month.

The most eventful summer of arrivals and departures has already seen the club capture the serves of Teddy Sheringham, Mark Yeates and Clive Platt, among others, and Colchester United are not done yet.

According to the official website and chief executive Marie Partner; "In light of players leaving earlier this summer, it will of course leave room for further players to come in at Layer Road and we continue to work towards this goal."
