Adams Happy as No.2 - For Now!

Colchester's new assistant manager Micky Adams said today that he could'nt wait to get back in the game since he left Coventry.

Adams told the official site: 'When I got the call from George I was interested straight away. He asked for some help and I was delighted to come on board. It was a no-brainer as far as I was concerned.'

However, he admitted he is still keen to become an outright manager again one day.

Adding 'I don't want to put people off but I still harbour ambitions of being a manager again. Both the manager and the chairman are aware of that. But while I am at Colchester United, I will always give them my very best.'

George and Adams studied for their UEFA B coaching badge last summer, becomming friends in the process, although Williams concedes the pair differ in their views on some aspects of the game, the U's chief believes a contrast in coaching styles will benefit over the coming campaign.
