Williams - Adams Staying Put
With rumours rife linking assistant manager Micky Adams with the vacant Gillingham job, Colchester Manager Williams denies the rumour.
Adams, who has managed Fulham, Brighton, Leicester and Coventry, came to Colchester in July after leaving Coventry City is being mentioned in the media as a possible successor to Ronnie Jepson at the Priestfield Stadium.
However Colchester Manager George Williams who admits that Adams will possibly seek a return to management one day is confident his number two is happy at Layer Road at present saying:
'It's no surprise to hear Micky's name crop up, but if there's anything in it he'll come to me and we'll talk about it, we have a very open relationship,' said Williams.
'We know what football is like, there are a lot of ifs and maybes, but we try to deal in facts here.
'Obviously he's been a successful manager and he might like to get back into management. But he's very happy working here.'
