Kemi: More Goals, Please!

Colchester United`s Kem Izzet is aiming to hit the back of the net more often now that he`s got the taste having done so against QPR this week. Ahead of today`s game against Stoke, the midfielder claimed he has been "due a goal" and has set himself the surprising target of scoring ten times this term.

He admitted: "Ten is a good haul for a midfielder. I've done it before, and I'll do it again. I was waiting for my header to hit the post and come out, because I haven't had that much luck this season."

Some might say any season, given the rather sparse record the midfielder has in front of goal, but he remains optimistic. "I don't want it to end here. I want to score at least nine more this season!"

Will surprise me if he gets into double figures, but a nice surprise all the same.

It's nice when players come out and say they want to improve areas of thier game, but Kem is setting hiself up here really. Has he seen his own goal record? I'd pay his gaol bonus - that's how confident I am he won't do it. Go on, suprise me.
