Colchester United become only the second side of the season to snatch any points from Vicarage Road as a penalty-save by Dean Gerken ensured a point for the U`s.
Colchester fell behind in the opening stages to a goal from Adam Johnson, whose curing opener caught Gerken unawares.
Colchester, never failing to rise to the occasion, soon equalised when Clive Platt headed home after first being denied by the post.
The U`s then took the lead as Kevin Lisbie audaciously gave them the lead. It lasted just over 20 minutes; however, as Lisbie`s fellow Jamaican Marlon King put a bicycle-kick beyond Gerken`s reach.
The 22-year-old stopped had also saved a King penalty with the U`s leading, and kept the away side in it.
Quote of the game:
Aidy Boothroyd on Adam Jhonson:
"Hopefully, if we can get him until the end of the season, then I might bring his Mum in as a coach,' he joked. 'I just met her and she told me how to run the team and what to do, which is great."
