Centre Half Called For By Country

On Loan defender Matt Connolly has been called up to play for the England U21's.

Connolly on loan from Arsenal has been called into the squad to face Bulgaria and Portugal.

Colchester boss Geraint Williams was delighted with the news, telling the official club website (CU-FC.COM), 'Matt has worked very hard in his time here and congratulations must go to him for this deserved call-up.

'It is recognition for the performances he has put in since joining in the summer and great recognition for the club that countries are taking notice of our players.'

Adding 'Tremendous credit must go to the four lads that have got this international recognition and also to everyone at the club who has worked so hard to put us in the position we are now in.'

Maybe! Not as much as Yeates. He will be quality. Is he a bit slow?
