Former U's Man in Southend Move

Former Colchester United trainee Dean Morgan has joined Essex rivals Southend United on loan, with view to a permanent move, from Luton Town.

Morgan, who made 71 appearances in a U`s shirt, scored six goals in a three year stint at Layer Road before leaving to join Reading in 2003.

He then signed for Luton in 2005 after failing to hold down a regular place in the Reading line-up.

The 24-year-old has failed to score in 8 appearances this season for the Kenilworth Road side and has retuned to Essex in order to regain match sharpness.
