U`s Man White in Stevenage Loan

Colchester United`s forgotten full-back John White has joined Conference high-flyers Stevenage Borough on a month`s loan.

White, who was a regular in the U`s historic promotion winning campaign of 2005/6, has failed to hold down a regular berth since.

Only yesterday White, 21, vowed to stay and fight for his place at Layer Road after falling down the defensive pecking order.

'Colchester is the club I am signed to and where I would like to see my future, but chances have not come my way so far this season,' White told the club's official website.

White will wortk to get his fitness back before making an assult on the starting XI, where he could replace want-away defender George Elokobi.
