Wolves 1 - 0 Colchester United

Colchester slumped to their second consecutive defeat tonight losing 1 - 0 away to Wolves.

Despite hitting the woodwork twice, once within the last minute, Geriant Williams men came away from the midlands with nothing.

Colchester certainly gave as good as they got and stiffled the usual busy Wolves attack which had Manager Mick McCarthy admitting that his side were indeed lucky to take all 3 points.

He said,'We've played great at times this season and got nowt, and tonight we played lousy and got three points. So am I happy? Yes,' speaking to the official website after the 1-0 win at The Molineux.

'We got away with murder but let's give Colchester some credit. They never let us get a tempo going and had some players that caused us problems.

'But we won the game, Stephen Elliott got the goal and we kept another clean sheet.'

Just 1 points separates Geriant Williams men and a relegation position, and with the recent resurgence of The Owls this weekends game away to Sheffield Weds on Sat will be a difficult prospect.
